Linda Girard

Biography

LINDA GIRARD is an experienced entertainer and an accomplished musician, with an engaging personality and a magnetic stage presence. She has recorded three CDs of original songs. The first is "WORK OF ART" with Skye Blue Dancer band. The second and third are solo CDs called "VIOLET REED" and "(All the) KINGS & QUEENS.

As well as being a busker in the International Buskers’ Festival, she has performed at many concerts and festivals in Canada and the U.S. She has also acted in and been music director for theatre productions.

Linda has received two songwriters’ awards from the Bob Schwartz Memorial Songwriting Contest in Rochester, New York. She has been featured artist on radio and TV and sung on studio recordings and commercials.

Linda has a university degree in music and is a piano and voice teacher. For twenty years, she has been choir director and organist for various churches.

She was in a 40-piece choir that sang at Westminster Abbey and other cathedrals throughout England and Wales.

Linda has written over 100 songs. She considers them a gift to be shared. Her lyrics reflect a visionary perspective with a universal message of peace, love, faith, hope and healing. They are sensitive, introspective and thought provoking. You will be enchanted by her beautiful voice and sparked by her skilled musicianship.
